Hi all and this is my personal view of Soi 6 Pattaya and in no way this is 100% accurate or intended to stick up for, or offend anyone or property etc!

Soi 6 has a lot of reputations, from drinking in the soi nearly every day for nearly 2 years Ive heard a lot, the good and bad!

Soi 6 is known as a red light area to some, and with this title comes the common sense warnings you would heed if you were visiting one in england, America or any other city in the world.

If you met a girl in London you hadn't met before and she fell in love with you in an hour, you wouldn't buy her a house the next day.

if you walk down an unlit dodgy alleyway of a street at night in Prague you'd have a better than average chance of being rolled.

some people come here for drugs, and i must say you can probably buy drugs in any major street and soi 6 has never had 1 person offer me of any sort, it may go on as anywhere in the world but it is certainly not open if it does, unlike Amsterdam etc!

Most of the girls, boys lady boys shopkeepers bar owners cleaners etc all all a community to thierselfe, they all get on well, never hear of fights etc, everyone has respect for everyone else, tourists come in droves get stinking drunk and still get taken care of by taxi drivers bus drivers etc!

Its a great street just to people watch, from an early hour of 7am when the bar cleaners are in to all morning watching the bars delivery of ice, water beer coke etc, to when the Lady's who work the bars start about 1pm.

soi 6 is also called soi hook, 6 in the Thai language or soi yasordak, and i think thats because it was once owned by a mr yasordak when it used to be a market street many years ago!

During the afternoon many tourist visit the street which has about 50 bars on, many are single men wanting the company of a beautiful Thai lady and many want a good drinking session going from bar to bar!

The street hits midnight and in its last hour of trade many customers have gone and its slowly wind down for the bars then all of a sudden it hits 1 am all lights off in bars chairs and tables etc pack away and the staff start to go with taxi motor cycles a plenty coming and going etc!

I hope this gives a bit of an insight to those who havent been and if so you will have a good time here its a one off in the world!
